Arts Lab 5.0: Aliye Ceylan, Turkey - Month 5
One of the most important issues in the past month was Haşmet, the 12th member of our house. 🐾He is a fat and extremely cute cat who is addicted to food.🫠 I put him name. He injured his neck twice because he kept going and fighting with other cats. Finally we had to take him to the doctor and he got stitches. I hope we will neuter him in about a week.🙏
As for the business issue, we opened our 3rd exhibition. The subject of our exhibition was the Jewish massacre. It was an emotionally heavy exhibition for me. We worked with visually impaired children for this exhibition. That's why it was so much more meaningful. Afterwards, we went to Bucharest for the first time for mid-term. We attended a 3-day training. Afterwards, we took advantage of our free time. I think we walked around Bucharest with my volunteer friend from another project. From there I went to Brașov and finally saw Bran Castle, which I have been wanting to see for a long time. I came back with a lot of memories.💜 As soon as we returned, we continued our busy schedule from where we left off. I can't help but have an accident at home every month. The mocha-pod in which we made coffee exploded and everywhere, all the walls became coffee. An excellent development indeed.🥲 We organized a Turkish night. I don’t even remember how many dishes we cooked. It was a very fun night.
This week we will open our last exhibition and finish our last school workshop. School isn't going too bad so far. I'm feeling very stressed this week because some things are going unplanned for me. 🥹 I think I'll feel much better once I get through this week. And frankly, I need this very much. There is exactly 1 month left for the project to be completed. Time really goes very, very fast. Sometimes I'm happy about this, but sometimes I find it strange. Let's see what time will tell. I think this is my penultimate report. I am very curious about what I will feel or think until my last report.🙈
Aliye Ceylan is from Turkey, and she is participating in a six-month volunteering program within Arts Lab 5.0, a project co-funded by the European Union through the European Solidarity Corps.
