Youthpass competences in Arts Lab 3.0 - Krista Lipska
Sometimes
the final evaluation reports don't show us very clear what our
volunteers learned during their volunteering experience in our
organisation, this is the reason we go to check the extended Youthpass
certificates. Here is the learning journey in Arts Lab 3.0 of Krista.
KEY COMPETENCES
Based on the EU framework for Key Competences for lifelong learning (2018).
MULTILINGUAL COMPETENCE
During this project I improved my English, as well writing and articles. I learned a little bit of Romanian language, so mostly I can understand what people around me are saying and being able to answer some basic questions in Romanian.
Another thing that I learned to do better through this project is writing articles in English, to explain myself better and find an understanding between different level English speakers adapting myself to needs.
I improved my listening skills, so I can communicate properly with my team and local volunteers, as were other people who were participating in Asirys activities.
In addition I become more open minded to different cultures, more eager to explore them and learn more about them.
PERSONAL, SOCIAL AND LEARNING TO LEARN COMPETENCE
During this project I spent a lot of time reflecting on myself, my way of behaving, my needs and analyzing improvements which are needed for becoming more successful and determined. I started to appreciate my needs, routine and crystallizing most effective ways to organize myself, how to set my goals and create a schedule to be able to monitor myself and be efficient.
My beliefs strengthened the most effective way for me to learn new things and work on my existing skills. I found opportunities to continue learning new things; I am more open to online education and training.
Executing my personal projects was a proof to me and the way how to track my productivity.
Being in a project made me realize that I have a lot of other skills outside of my professional field, that I am really practical and thoughtful, good with helping others when they are having emotional struggles and high anxiety levels.
And surely this experience showed me, in which areas I need to expand my knowledge, so I can handle tasks more efficiently.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP COMPETENCE
One of the mostly worked on competences during Arts Lab 3.0 was entrepreneurship skills. That led me to realization that I am capable of more that I was aware of, that I could be entrepreneur in my own art field and expanding other skills surrounding my profession. Through the project we were coming up with a lot of ideas, activities and bringing them into actions, events. I have become a lot better at bringing ideas to life, standing by my opinion and creating the best outcome for my objectives. As this project is Arts Lab, mainly we were working being creative and innovative, creating collaborations with artists we were working together, taking risks, planning and managing all preparation work, creating event/workshop, doing exhibitions by ourselves, to find the best solutions with materials and founds given to us, being creative to find possible ways of bringing idea to life in specific conditions. What's more, I got better working in a team, listening to all sides of stories, coming up with compromises, taking full responsibility for each team member, being better and flexible with adapting ideas so they fit everyone as best as they can.
CULTURAL AWARENESS AND EXPRESSION COMPETENCE
I had a chance to come back to writing poetry, expressing myself through painting and drawing, take to in higher level. I came to appreciation of interactive events having games, workshops which help to establish connection with visitors on a deeper level, getting their interest more focused.
DIGITAL COMPETENCE
During this experience I got familiar with Padlet, Menti, Canvas, Prezi and started using Google documents, Google drive
LITERACY COMPETENCE
Skills: being conscious about my vocabulary and use of it in different types of situations, ability to explain myself easily, formulating my opinions and argumenting them, searching and collecting, analyzing and working with information (Cucuteni alternative exhibition), becoming better at expressing myself in articles and putting out ideas.
