Arts Lab 3.0: Krista Lipska - Building the future

January felt like a really long month, but at the same time every single day was flying at the speed of light. Most likely reason to feel like that was that January was overfilled with creating, finishing and working again and again on everything that is needed for a successful exhibition opening. But through this adventure together as a team, we have grown even more and at the same time finally we have learned to a greater extent than expected from each other, picked up new skills and resolved tasks, which were giving a lot of rebuses to work through. I am glad that we had such a productive and determined month, all together working for a greater purpose which will be living on for so many more years. It has been an honor to work on fundamental stones for future volunteer generations and professionally growing as a crew and individually. During this month, whether we want it or not, more often was emerging revelation of the present - just one more month is this set up, living all 4 together and spending so much time together at work and all of this will be gone, all of us will start things differently, because in January we all were finally reunited after winter holidays spent apart, we had an opportunity to reflect a bit and with new strong wave missing each other and recharged batteries.

As well collaboration workshops with Mr. Ciobanu have finished and I will be looking on that experience with pleasant aftertaste - having once a week opportunity to play with colors and interact, listening to his experience, see everyone's own perspective and style of expressing through paints on canvas, get to know my friends and colleagues through different prism.  For me it was really important to have this moment of appreciation and not rushing anywhere, being there in the moment and bonding with people who are really important to me, with people I am creating innumerable other important things.

As every month we are going through getting to know each of our project participant countries better, this month we were favored by Turkish intercultural night, having the opportunity to know more of their culture, traditions, experience some of them and try out delicious food. Also being engaged in singing karaoke for Turkish songs and taking part in their dances, prepared by Demet and Kubra. All these intercultural events make me look forward to Latvian night and having the opportunity to treat everyone else by a highly set example of my team presenting their countries.
