Call for Volunteers: Arts Lab Erasmus+ 6 months mobility
We are looking for 4 young people, aged between 18 and 30, from European Union countries, to be part of 6-month Erasmus+ volunteering mobility, in Tîrgu Frumos, Iaşi, Romania. The project is adressing youth passionate about dance, painting, music, photography, cooking, crafts and/or other cultural activities.
The topics of the project are social inclusion, cultural heritage, creativity and culture. The volunteering activities will be diverse and involve the development of social, intercultural, civic and entrepreneurial skills and competences. The topics of the project are social inclusion, cultural heritage, creativity and culture. The volunteering activities will be diverse and involve the development of social, intercultural, civic and entrepreneurial skills and competences. Some of the activities that the 4 volunteers will carry out are:
- a caravan promoting non-formal education and European volunteering in 5 communities,
- developing a personal project in the cultural field, artistic workshops,
- develop and promote the Experiential Rroma Museum,
- organization of a conference to promote volunteering and the Erasmus + program among young people and youth leaders from several communities in the region.
Requirements:
- between 18-30 y.o.
- never participated in a long-term volunteering activity supported by Erasmus+
- min. A2 level of English
- pro-active position, ability to work independently
- interest in dance, painting, music, photography, cooking workshops, crafts and/or other cultural activities

Duties:
- assisting & planning European projects (youth exchanges, trainings, study visits and meetings etc.)
- managing activities together with staff members
- creating and facilitating artistic workshops in dance, painting, music, photography, cooking workshops, crafts and/or other cultural activities for youth and locals
- taking part in organising festivals and other local, national and international events
- creating and experiencing personal projects. An example of personal project could be to create a camp for artists, select 20 artists, facilitate a artistic working camp, organize an exhibition, promote the art crafts at national/European level.
Practical arrangements:
- 6-month program starting with 1 April 2019
- 35-hour work week
- monthly allowance covering accommodation and food
- pocket money (90 euro/month)
- reimbursement of travel expences (up to 302 euro, according lump sum)

- 2 volunteering trainings in Romania: on-arrival and mid-term with all the international volunteers hosted in Romania
- workshops and training facilitated by the hosting and partners organisations and institutions
- 2 days off per week + 2 days off per month (can be accumulated in 24 days off in a year)
- support of a coordinator and a mentor
- YouthPass at the end of the volunteering project
