Short Study Visit in Spain
NEW SPACES FOR NEW CITIZENS is a Short Study Visit within the Action 4.3 (Training and Networking) of Youth in Action programme focused on youth participation and active citizenship. The project will take place between 26th November - 4th December 2013.
It aims at debating around new ways to youth participation, getting to know real examples that have been developed and carried out in Spain and, more specifically, in Asturias (northern Spain).
Several Associations, NGOs, Social Centres and “alternative participatory spaces” will be visited during the meeting. This direct experience and the debate opened around it, together with the good practices shared among the participants, will be the main cores of the project.
Participants’ profile (very important)
Youth workers, groups’ leaders, active members of youth organization…
No age limits.
In order to enjoy and contribute to the activity 100%, the participants should be experienced in youth work and active members in the sending organizations.
People attending the Visit are expected to be willing to share their experience and collect new ideas and formats to be implemented once back in their home countries.
Therefore, they are supposed to be multiplier of the results of the project.
The work language will be English.
Travelling….
Note: If you can not find any feasible flight connections to Oviedo (OVD /Asturias), the best alternatives are Madrid or Santander airports. From there you can reach Oviedo by Bus (Strange, but true: bus is the most common way to move from one city to another in Spain, check it out at www.alsa.es)
Arrival: on the 26th November. The activity will start in the evening, before dinner.
Departure: on the 4th December, from the morning.
