În vara anului 2011, 6 voluntari ASIRYS au participat la un schimb de experienţă în Italia, mai exact în Verbania. Acolo, pe lângă activităţile interesante - vom publica în curând câteva testimoniale despre MUSIC DROPS 4 EUROPE, au întâlnit organizaţii de tineret din Spania, Turcia, Italia.
Iată că partenerul din Turcia, dorind să continue colaborarea, a depus un nou proiect care a fost aprobat şi astfel în perioada 28 aprilie - 6 mai 2012, 6 tineri talentaţi la muzică vor participa activ în proiectul "Play for Orphans".

“Play for Orphans" is a youth exchange project under the programme “Youth in Action”, sub action “Action 1.1”. Project is going to be held in Bilecik between 29 April-07 May 2012. Project aims to gather young people from different countries in Bilecik and implement activities about Orphans. Activities will be implemented within the Non-formal Learning methods.
What is Youth in Action?
Youth in Action is the Programme the European Union has set up for young people. It aims to inspire a sense of active European citizenship, solidarity and tolerance among young Europeans and to involve them in shaping the Union's future. It promotes mobility within and beyond the EU's borders, non-formal learning and intercultural dialogue, and encourages the inclusion of all young people, regardless of their educational, social and cultural background: Youth in Action is a Programme for all!
What is a Youth Exchange?
A Youth Exchange is a project which brings together groups of young people from two or more countries, providing them with an opportunity to discuss and confront various themes, whilst learning about each others countries and cultures. A Youth Exchange is based on a trans-national partnership between two or more promoters from different countries.
According to the number of countries involved, a Youth Exchange can be bilateral, trilateral or multilateral. A Bilateral Youth Exchange is justified especially when the promoters are at their first European project, or when the participants are small-scale or local groups without experience at European level.
A Youth Exchange can be itinerant, implying the movement of all participants at the same time, throughout one or more countries participating in the Exchange.
A Youth Exchange project has three phases:

- implementation of the Activity
- evaluation (including reflection on a possible follow-up).
Non-formal learning principles and practice are reflected throughout the project.
What a Youth Exchange is not?
The following activities in particular are NOT eligible for grants under Youth Exchanges:
- academic study trips
- exchange activities which aim to make financial profit
- exchange activities which can be classed as tourism
- festivals
- holiday travel
- language courses
- performance tours
- school class exchanges
- sports competitions
- statutory meetings of organizations
- political gatherings
- work camps.
Play for Orphans
Project aims are:
- the main aim is to make youths to have different view about orphans and to use music as a tool by youth for to make a higher awareness;
- to promote mutual understanding and tolerance between young people from different cultures,
- to create an activity for young people where they can work with people from different countries,
- to promote orphans and help participants gain awareness about the topic of the project,
- to develop participants social and personal skills like; foreign language, team work, etc,
What is project about?
The main theme of our project is to take up more space in society for children orphaned and unaccompanied children in the community to become more sensitive to the point of view and provide the name of change, with participants from different countries and creating mixed-music groups will address the theme of our project to create improvised music concerts to draw attention to the giving community.
Countries will be mix groups, at the end of the project and will improvise music concerts will be given to orphans in 3 different places and at the same time the audience will be given information about the orphans.
In addition, non-formal education methods will be used across all sessions for this project.
Project also has intercultural aspects. There are going to activities about intercultural learning, European Citizenship, voluntarism, communication, conflict management, team building and activities about create music for orphans.
Participant profile:
Playing instruments and singing all the participants have any is required.
Project aims to host young people aged between 18 – 25 years old. Participants are not supposed to be experienced in youth work or in Youth in Action Programmes. Activities will be implemented in English. It is why that group leaders are supposed to speak in English to translation for those who cannot speak in English.
Each group from each country is supposed to be 6 people in total (5 participant + 1 leader).
There is no age limit for leaders of the groups.
Pre-planning Visit:
We have pre-plannig visit in 15-16 March, 14 arrival - 17 departures.
Preparations before coming:
Culture Night has an important role for youth exchanges. These will be the times that we are going to share our foods, drinks, dances, music, clothes etc. There will be 5 culture night during the project. We wanted to give enough space for each group to show their cultural elements. You can bring drinks, foods, deserts, national clothes, etc. You are not obliged to bring all of them, just the ones that you can afford and show us during the culture nights. Or you can prepare small theater sessions about your culture.

Please find some information and translate in English about the Orphans in your country. We are going to share this information with each other during the project.
FUNDING
Expenses:
Travel expenses of the participants are going to be reimbursed as %70 of total amount.
Visa and insurance costs are going to be reimbursed totally.

We need your tickets of travels for each person for reimbursement.

We will organize the travel between ISTANBUL to BİLECİK and way back.
