12-month EVS Program at CITIZENS of EUROPE Office in Berlin

As Citizens of Europe e.V. exists thanks to the voluntary commitment of its members, and as some of them come directly from an EVS experience, we would like to offer to more and more young people the opportunity to experience on a daily basis what active European citizenship actually implies and at the same time to facilitate a personal and professional growth process by working at an NGO which deals with those topics in diverse fields of actions.
Note: we are only considering applications from Romania residents for this round.
Requirements:
- between 21-30 y.o.
- never participated in a long-term activity supported by Erasmus+
- fluent English
- knowledge of German is appreciated, but not a must
- pro-active position, ability to work independently
- interest in Europe and civil society projects
- previous project management experience is appreciated
Opportunities:

Duties:
- assisting in European projects (strategic partnership, trainings, study visits and meetings etc.)
- managing the office together with a staff member
- taking part in organising „My Europe“ Film Festival
- contributing to Citizens' online presence (managing websites, newsletters and social media)
- communication with partners
Practical arrangements:
- 12-month program starting in March 2018
- 4-day 35-hour work week
- monthly allowance covering accommodation, food, pocket money
- 12-month public transport pass
- reimbursement of travel expences to and from Berlin (max. 275 euros)
- German language course
- health insurance by Cigna
- 2 EVS trainings in Germany
- 2 days off per month (can be accumulated in 24 days off in a year)
- support of a coordinator and a mentor
- YouthPass at the end of the EVS
